Laughing Friends

We all say we search for the best deals when it comes to purchasing our beauty bits, but how hard do you really look? I rarely pay full price for products and will share a few of my tips below on how you can become that little bit savvier with your spending.

1.  Coupert or Honey ringing a bell? If you haven’t heard of these browser extensions then my friend, you are in for a treat. This clever software will automatically scan the internet and apply any eligible promo codes it can find for you at the point of checkout.

2. It won’t always find a discount code each time you purchase something, but when you do it feels like you’ve won the jackpot; seeing £££’s knocked off your basket in just a click will make you wonder why on earth you never used this before.

3. Is the “Sign up and get 10% off your first order” worth the spam emails until the end of time? There’s no harm in having a few quid shaved off your order, but for some companies, heading to the apps is where you’ll find even better savings on the regular.

LOOKFANTASIC often has beauty bundles, offers on selected brands and regular 22% promos via the app. Feelunique also do a fantastic scheme allowing you to select two of your favourite brands to claim 10% off each purchase if you set up an account and buy through them. On top of that, Feelunique will send you discount codes once you start hitting a certain spend – get downloading and ensure to set your phone to receive notifications so you don’t miss out.

4. If you ever struggle to know how to sustainably get rid of all your old make up and skincare products then this one’s for you. For the small price of taking five empty products to one of the participating stores, Boots will recycle them for you and give you 500 Boots Advantage Card points – that’s worth £5, in exchange. Winner winner, chicken dinner. Check out more info on Boots website.

5. Give stores like TK Maxx and Homesense a chance for me. Just because you may not have the patience to rifle through the clothes rails doesn’t mean we should disregard them altogether - the beauty and healthcare aisles are a GOLDMINE.

With designer products at up to 60% less than the RRP, this is a great way to try out some more expensive brands without the fear of having blown your budget on a product that just doesn’t work for you.

6. And finally; compare, compare, COMPARE! If your product is the same price on all websites take a look at other factors; which has free shipping? Are any freebies included? Or where you could gain points and rewards.
